Privacy Policy

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed and managed by Supabase Authentication). If you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Resume and Profile Data

We store the resume content you create, including your full name, professional title, contact details, work experience, education, skills, links, uploaded profile photos, and any other information you add to your resume.

Uploaded Content

Profile photos you upload are converted to base64 and stored as part of your resume data in our database. We do not currently operate a separate file storage service.

Usage and Device Information

We collect anonymised usage data such as pages visited, features used, browser type, device type, operating system, and referring URL. This information is collected via Google Analytics.

Cookies

We use essential session cookies managed by Supabase to keep you authenticated. We also use cookies set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense for analytics and advertising purposes. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

We use the information we collect to: provide and operate the CareerQeem service; authenticate you and secure your account; store, display, and allow you to export your resumes; calculate and manage your credit balance; deliver and measure rewarded advertisements; analyse usage trends to improve the product; and communicate important updates about the service.

Your account and resume data are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. Authentication is handled exclusively by Supabase Auth, which securely stores hashed passwords and OAuth tokens.

Supabase

Supabase provides our backend infrastructure including database, authentication, and real-time services. Their privacy practices are governed by the Supabase Privacy Policy (supabase.com/privacy).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with CareerQeem. Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data and may set cookies on your device. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense / Google Ad Manager

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve personalised ads based on your browsing activity. You can manage Google ad personalisation settings at adssettings.google.com.

Rewarded Advertisements

CareerQeem offers an optional rewarded ad feature where you can watch a short sponsor video to earn credits. We record the fact that a reward was claimed (transaction ID, provider, and timestamp) for fraud prevention purposes. We do not share your personal data with ad providers beyond what is technically necessary to serve the ad.

Browserless

PDF export is performed by Browserless, a headless browser service, which accesses a temporary print page on our domain to render your resume as a PDF. No resume data is permanently retained by Browserless.

We retain your account and resume data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and resume content from our systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords via Supabase Auth, row-level security (RLS) policies on our database, and signed server-side tokens for rewarded ad transactions. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data, and withdraw consent for data processing where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact us at careerqeem@gmail.com.

CareerQeem is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of CareerQeem after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
